In my work I posit abstraction as inherent to any structure and reality as well as a path to consciousness.  Ideas, understanding, light are born out of a “synaptic short circuit”, a rupture, out of discontinuity and non-linearity.

This necessary passage to abstraction is an essential process in our perception of a reality that does not exist as such but only as a constant (re)creation from our minds and senses.

Reality is a form of abstraction than we decode thanks to this “capacity for abstraction” that we have and that I use as a painting tool
