I saw L.A.therefore I exist

The spectre of Baudrillard looms large:  reality founders in the reduplication of the real through photography, all becomes mediated and a “simulacrum”.

I saw Los Angeles therefore I exist” is composed of 15 tourist shots of the most “hyperrealist” city in the States.   Small, round, inane, Facebook pictures as so many dots/pixels (symbolically, one for each day of the year), weave the thread of my reality into the fabric of these shots, blending images into an abstract experience.

These images signal the irony of creation, challenging the document, art, and the canon of photography in a wide sweep, while proffering it to the world as a proof of artistic relevance.
